Besholt MV was a Norwegian Cargo Motor Vessel of 4,977 tons built in 1936. On the 2nd December 1942 when on route from Matadi & Lobito for Trinidad & New York carrying a cargo of 8,000 tons of tin, copper & palm oil and 32 bags of mail she was torpedoed by German submarine U-174 and sunk. 14 persons lost from a total of 42.
